A tunnel that goes deep into the heart of the mountain to reach new veins of the great Los Bronches copper mine in Chile.
For this tunnel, SELI Overseas developed a new type of TBM, the TBM Compact, a particularly versatile machine suitable for excavating unlined tunnels for mining applications.
The excavation of the Los Bronches tunnel once again confirmed SELI Overseas’ ability to develop innovations that are immediately effective and productive, hitting the targets for which the innovations were developed.
