11 km of hydroelectric tunnel excavated with TBMs in Laos in a logistically problematic situation as regards access and supply.

In this project, SELI Overseas confirmed its extraordinary experience and expertise in the construction of long tunnels excavated in highly-variable geological formations along the route and in difficult logistic conditions.

The TBM starting portal for the excavation of this tunnel was in fact located in a tropical jungle and all supplies of materials and equipment were severely hampered by the conditions of the roads and the monsoon climate.

Despite this, the tunnel was completed on time and to the required quality level, with no worker accidents.
